Jeremy Brown is currently the associate director of choirs and AP Music Theory Instructor at McKinney Boyd HS. Mr. Brown is passionate about choral music education and conducting. He is frequently asked to be a clinician and adjudicator throughout Texas.


lauren garcia

Lauren Garcia is a choral educator with 11 years of experience teaching middle school choir. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of North Texas and is currently in her first year as Head Choir Director at North Richland Middle School in Birdville ISD. Prior to joining Birdville ISD, Lauren taught for six years at Indian Springs Middle School in Keller ISD and four years in Azle ISD.

Lauren co-directed the Keller ISD 5th/6th Grade Honor Choir for four years, culminating in an invitation to perform at the 2025 TMEA Convention. Her Honor Treble Choir at Indian Springs Middle School received a National Mark of Excellence—Commended Award in 2023 and a National Mark of Excellence Winner Award in 2025. Her choirs have consistently earned Sweepstakes at UIL and recognition at choral festivals throughout the DFW area. Lauren is an active member of TMEA, TCDA, and TMAA, a former TMEA Region 30 Middle School Vocal Division Coordinator and Treasurer and has served as a clinician for region choirs and professional events throughout North Texas.


Kelsey Helton

Kelsey Scheuerman Helton is the music teacher at Silver Lake Elementary in GCISD where she teaches PK-5th grade, directs the Silver Lake Singing Stars and co-directs the annual musical. She is a proud Music Education graduate of Kansas State University and has 13 years of experience in grades PK-12, band, choir, theater and elementary music.
