To strengthen year-round support for our membership, TCDA is proud to introduce the Choral Resource Committee (CRC) — a new member-driven initiative designed to develop and share practical resources for choral directors across Texas.

To provide meaningful, practical, and relevant resources that support choral directors where they are — in rehearsal rooms, classrooms, worship spaces, and performance settings across Texas.

The Choral Resource Committee will serve as a collaborative team of educators and practitioners dedicated to curating and creating practical resources for choral directors across Texas. Focus areas will include repertoire selection, music literacy, choral pedagogy, inclusive teaching practices, contemporary ensemble work, and more.

Through this initiative, TCDA aims to expand year-round member support by providing curated repertoire recommendations, teaching guides and instructional resources, professional learning opportunities, collaborative connections both in person and online, and practical, rehearsal-ready tools designed for a wide variety of choral settings.

The inaugural Choral Resource Committee will include Resource Leads in the following areas:

  • Elementary & Developing Treble Choirs
  • Intermediate & Advanced Treble Choirs
  • Changing Voices & Tenor-Bass Choirs
  • Developing & Intermediate Mixed Choirs
  • Advanced Mixed Choirs
  • Pop & Commercial Music Resources
  • Musical Literacy & Choral Pedagogy
  • Music in Worship & Sacred Ensembles
  • Inclusive Practices & Professional Sustainability

Applications for Resource Lead positions will open on June 1, 2026 and remain open through June 26, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

We are excited about the possibilities this initiative creates for our membership and grateful for the many ways TCDA members continue to invest in one another.
